I'll see if i can get a downloadable video for you though. They also did short lil segments with Nump & EA-ski and CMT. A lot of people i talked to were kinda of upset that The Team wasn't on there. But umm as far as the My Block goes, they did interviews with San Quinn, Too Short, Turf Talk, Zion I, and Mistah FAB.

I know some people hate on him, but I think the dude is nice. Oh, and nice to see another person giving Locksmith props. has there been anything else? I'm not sure if you're a fan or not, but I'm a fiend for their stuff, haha. btw, there was kinda a gap in time between when Jayo's blog went down and yours came up, so I don't know - has there been any new Team stuff lately? I've copped the mixtape, I have Clyde's "Call the Cops (It's Gettin' Wild In Here)". I've been hearing quite a few remixes of "Tell Me When To Go", and, for some reason, nobody seems to be able to get it right imo. It's a interesting concept, but I just don't think soul samples really work with that song (well, it might not be a soul sample exactly, but it's similar to that 9th Wonder style all those college kids are doing). unfortunately I can't say that same for that Trackademics remix. That video would take forever for me to download, so can I just ask, what kinda bay rappers did they cover in there? I know it was mostly about 40, but did they talk about dudes like San Quinn, Mistah Fab, or The Team? Second, I didn't get a chance to reply to that last post that "Go Stupid Head Bob" track has grown on me quite a bit. So that "My Block" special was on MTV2? Damn, I thought they said it was gonna be on MTV I was hoping to catch that. Droop-E goes to work on the beat, and does a good job of staying away from the microphone if you know what im saying. This isn't one of my favorite tracks but it serves as a decent album filler. Stanley Davis makes a lil cameo and drops a nice verse.Īnother slap off the DB'z album "Speakin in Mannish" which is in stores as we speak.

Anyone have info on an album for him? It kinda sounds like a Youngbloodz beat or something, but in the song they talk about Traxamillion on the beat, so im not completely sure. This is a questionable song by Scweez, the self proclaimed "First Mexican to ride the yellow bus". San Quinn, Mistah F.A.B., Locksmith- Gotta Git It (remix) And may I just add that Locksmith spits a very successful verse and reminds the Bay Area he was one of the main pioneers of this whole New Bay movement.īalance feat. Haha not the best quality, but i mean it will get the job done until there is a quality version released. So i used my questionable ripping skills to link the two remixes together.

It was originally Locksmith on the first remix, but then they did it again and added Stanley Davis and the Mighty Quinn. Keak Da Sneak- Feeling Like YEE!īalance added some Bay Area all-stars to turn this one into a nice lil remix. Keak Da Sneak does the chorus and spits a verse himself. My friend sent me this one a couple months ago and I've been slapping it ever since, hope you guys enjoy.

But its kinda like a song in respect for Mac Dre, and kinda surprising to hear from Luni Coleone. Haha this is a sample of a beat from an old song that I'm not gonna take the time to try and remember.

Here is a link to a you tube movie that someone so graciously set up, just in case you missed it. Unlike some people down south who made the movie RIZE, but we won't get on that right now. It was a cool lil segment that gave the world a lil taste of how we doin it out here in the Bay, but didn't go overboard with it. First and foremost if you haven't heard, they did a special on the Bay Area on MTV 2.
